Say GoodBye to Frown Lines and Crow's Feet with Juvéderm®
If fine lines and wrinkles are affecting the way you feel about yourself, they’re easier to remove than you might think. Just thinking about face-lift surgery is enough to keep you away from the dermatologist and prevent you from regaining your skin’s vitality. Don’t worry: We offer nonsurgical options like dermal fillers.
Juvéderm® is a perfect, minimally invasive option that can help you obtain a more youthful appearance. It’s a safe way to turn back the hands of time for effective and natural-looking results.
At Dermatology Associates of Central New Jersey, our team of dermatologists and medical staff can help you reach your skin care goals. Our dedicated experts are experienced in administering Juvéderm and helping you regain confidence in your appearance.
What is Juvedérm?
Juvéderm is a hyaluronic acid-based filler with a gel-like consistency that works by adding volume to facial tissue. It’s a natural substance found in the human body. By stimulating the production of collagen, which decreases as you age, fine lines and wrinkles reduce significantly.
Several products belong to the Juvéderm family, and each one is made to meet your specific needs. If you’re hoping to add fullness to lips, smooth facial lines, or contour your cheeks, we offer:
For your cheeks
Juvéderm Voluma® XC adds volume to your cheeks. Results last up to two years, and if you hope to maintain the effects of treatment, you’ll need to schedule follow-up treatments.
For your mouth and nose
Juvéderm XC and Juvéderm Vollure™ XC address wrinkles around the mouth and nose. They are effective solutions for addressing the loss of your skin’s elasticity. Results last six to eight months with patients reporting smooth and natural-looking effects post-treatment.
For your lips and mouth
Juvéderm Ultra XC and Juvéderm Volbella XC can provide you with a subtle lift or restoration contour. Both solutions effectively add volume to your lips or perioral area.
Before undergoing treatment, disclose any known allergies or sensitivities you may have. We decide whether the treatment is right for you based on your medical history, personal aesthetic goals, and other factors.
What to expect from a Juvéderm treatment
Before your consultation, avoid medications like aspirin and ibuprofen. In the weeks leading up to treatment, don’t smoke or drink alcohol. Staying away from these items helps prevent bruising.
During the process, we use a pen to mark your problem areas. Then we inject the Juvéderm solution into your face and lightly massage the area, ensuring even distribution and reducing swelling. The procedure should take 15-60 minutes, depending on your cosmetic goals and areas being treated.
The process is generally painless, and any discomfort should subside quickly. Recovery time is minimal, but you should avoid strenuous physical activity for at least 24 hours post-treatment. We also recommend avoiding makeup and excessive sun exposure. You should notice the effects of Juvéderm after the swelling goes down, with results lasting between six months and a year, depending upon the type of Juvéderm product.
