How Can a HydraFacial® Give Me a Younger-Looking Appearance?
When it comes to skin revitalization, you may be feeling overwhelmed with your options. How do you know if a chemical peel is the right thing? Should you be considering a laser procedure?
The best way to get the right treatment for your skin is to get guidance from highly qualified and trained providers. At Dermatology Associates of Central New Jersey, with offices in Old Bridge, Freehold, and Union, New Jersey, we take the time to get to know you and understand your goals. One procedure we often recommend that many of our patients don’t know about is a HydraFacial®.
The HydraFacial experience
A HydraFacial is a type of hydrodermabrasion, and the effect is similar to dermabrasion or microdermabrasion, but gentler. The first step is cleansing and exfoliating your skin so it’s ready for the procedure.
Next, your provider uses suction to remove any impurities and make sure your pores are open and ready to absorb nutrients. The next step is to apply special moisturizers that nourish your skin. Hyaluronic acid, peptides, and antioxidants are all applied during the final stage of the treatment.
Benefits of a HydraFacial
All of the treatments and procedures we offer have benefits, but a HydraFacial can address several different issues with one treatment. Some of the main reasons we recommend HydraFacial include the fact that it addresses multiple issues, such as:
- Scarring
- Wrinkles and fine lines
- Thickened skin
- Large pores
- Sun damage
Although it addresses many issues at once, hydrodermabrasion is gentle, unlike some more aggressive treatments. Using suction to remove impurities leaves your skin looking and feeling fantastic, and then we add the extra nourishment and benefits of deep moisturizing.
What you should expect
Your procedure is tailored to your skin’s needs and your goals. Your provider suggests the use of specific ingredients to meet your needs. The basic treatment provides a smoother, more youthful-looking appearance that lasts anywhere from one to three weeks.
If you’re seeking a longer term solution, you may want to have a series of HydraFacial treatments. If you have six treatments, spaced seven to 10 days apart, you can address issues such as scarring, sun damage, and wrinkles. Many of our patients choose to have maintenance treatments once per month following their initial series.
